These tests are defined as tests performed on samples taken from and on the body, and are used in a broad range of applications. Clinical diagnostic tests and lab tests are used to aid physicians, patients, and caregivers in reaching a decision. Both of these tests provide objective information about a person’s health. With this information health care providers can use this for risk assessment purposes that determine how a medical condition is or will be. There are other tests that use the information to monitor the course of a disease or to assess a patient’s response to treatments. A lot of the time, results from tests can provide information that along with patient’s history helps physicians decide what might be appropriate action to take for additional treatment and testing.
